Hurricane Sandy Food Drive: Success!!!

Way to go CUMC!! Over 200 lbs. of food collected! Thank you all for donating and taking part in the food drive. And, a big thank you to GCR and BLSC for co-sponsoring!

Tonight’s the Night!

Get excited, get excited, GET EXCITED!!! Only a few hours left until SGA’s end of the year event and it will definitely be one to remember. We’ve sold almost 40 tickets in 40 minutes today (guess procrastination’s a more common trait than I thought ūüėČ ). We’ve got candy, appetizers, drinks, raffles, and a dj and fresh music, and so much more. Limited tickets will be available at the door so come early if you didn’t get yours during the week!

Party tonight, study tomorrow. See you soon!

Critical Race Think Tank Mini-Conference

SGA is pleased to show our support of the Critical Race Think Tank Mini-Conference, sponsored by our fellow student groups: Advocates for Asian American Health (AAAH) and the Black and Latino Student Caucus. ¬†They have been working hard all semester planning for this event and we encourage everyone to attend. ¬†The collaborative efforts between students here at Mailman show how truly strong we are if we work together as a community. ¬†We wish our fellow student groups the best of luck as they prepare for the first ever Critical Race Think Tank mini-conference this Thursday. ¬†As part of Mailman’s mission to collaborate in culturally sensitive ways, please join us in our commitment to¬†promoting multidisciplinary approaches to public health problems.

Please register for the event at:

April is hectic…

April is hectic.
We are in the homestretch of the semester and with all the papers, projects, tests, etc. all due at once, there’s barely any time left for fun. Keyword, barely. Make sure to check the calendar and Facebook to find out about the great events going on around campus, hosted by your very own student groups, and with the beautiful weather we’ve been having lately, there’s every reason to procrastinate that homework (or finish it early you overachiever). New exhibits at MOMA? Check. Ice cream on the High Line. Yup. Checking out hipsters in Williamsburg. On it. Whatever your ‘fun’ is, find it and do it. Don’t let school stress you out, we’re almost done anyways!

Teaser of what’s to come: new poster below for SGA’s end of the year bash. Buy your tickets. Find your dancing shoes. And see you soon for a night of¬†revelry before we all overdose on caffeine and hole up in the library.
